We planned to stop at the approximate half-way mark: Santa Cruz. On the way though we stopped many times to take in the gorgeous vistas!! What a stunning part of our country.

I also experimented with letting the car drive for me, which was certainly disconcerting at first but also wildly impressive.

Santa Cruz itself was a cute little beach town. We walked around for a while, wandering down the pier, grabbing a snack and a souvenir for Skyler. We also spotted sea lions!!

(Walking back up this hill was certainly a glute workout haha)

We stopped at the Stagnaro Brothers Seafood for a quick bite, and just outside the restaurant we saw SEA LIONS!!!!! :) <3

After we fueled up our bellies, we drove to the local Whole Foods to fuel up the electric car before we ventured into the mountains!
